Country life means looking up at the stars and being able to see them shining bright from your own backyard (no light pollution here...) It also means being able to see the sun from your yard in all of its glorious directions AND being able to tell what time of day it is, without looking at your watch or worse... your phone.
Country Life means knowing the names of ALL of your neighbours even though you can't see their home from yours... it also means happily pitching in when any of them needs your help.
Country Life means knowing where your food comes from. Sometimes that's from your own garden or your neighbours (because you trade off stuff) or the farmer you know by first name who lives close by. Your food could also be from your local farmers market where you go regularly and give thanks for the hard work all of your local vendors do.
Country Life means you get up everyday and put in a hard days work. At the end of each day you are grateful for the day and you can see the fruits of your labour. You pass those values down to your children and grandchildren because you know how important good morals and valuse are...
Country Life means you know the value of a good bonfire. You make a habit of attending one regularly. You know that it doesn't just help to make a tasty hotdog or marshmallow, but great memories with family and friends. You also know that it is Nature's best medicine to get your mind and body ready for a perfect nights sleep.
Country Life is often about keeping it simple. No drama, no complications and no hype. It's about loving life as it is and recognizing the beauty that is all around us.
